Once the bubble burst, players began hitting the payout desk at a steady pace. The short-stacks who limped into the money were trying to double up while the bigger stacks were growing. TJ Shulman has more than doubled his starting Day 2 stack and now sits in front of a 1.3 million chip castle.
Starting chipleader Dinh Nguyen has been camped in the same seat since the start and his stack has fluctuated all day. He was short at one point before doubling when he turned a flush with .
Just 69 players remain as players return from their second break of the day.
TJ Shulman – 1,324,000
Denian Costa – 1,053,000
Michael Merisier – 1,000,000
Stuart Paterson – 751,000
Dinh Nguyen – 749,000

There was a little confusion on the money bubble as tournament staffed paused action before asking dealers to stand when their hand was complete. Iryna Ostapchuk was all-in with two callers and they both checked it down to the river with the board reading
The 7-seat rolled over , good enough after it out-flopped Ostapchuk’s .
She was asked to stay at her table while the field was counted down and it was determined that instead of being the bubble girl, she actually earned a min-cash for $363 for finishing 126th.
Nancy Birnbaum, Angel Vu, TJ Shulman, Dinh Nguyen, and Elliott ‘Comrade’ Zaydman are a few others who made it into the money.

Steven Bennett had an opponent all-in but was behind with bottom pair Sevens with against a flopped set of Nines . When another Seven pealed off on the turn, his opponent slammed his hand hard on the table and turned his back.
“Dude, you still won!” laughed his tablemates.
Perhaps a momentary lapse in concentration made him think the magic Seven was bad. His name is being protected against future needles.
Only 153 players remaining after two and a half levels. The bubble looms and TJ Shulman has added to his stack to move into the lead with 597,000.

Ronald Hines began the day as one of the shorter stacks but would a way to build it up in a hurry. In one of the first hands of the day, Table 8 saw three people pushing their chips in the middle and Hines was needed help with his live cards.
Hines tabled to see he was up against the of Daniel Rosenbaum and of Jon Kerns. Both Big Slicks dodged the flop but Hines was in line for a triple up when the turn came . The river blanked and Hines moved out of the danger zone. Rosembaum had a slight edge at the start of the hand but was knocked short then out just a few hands later.

All the starting flights for Event 5 have run their course and all the remaining players are back in the ballroom looking for a new champion. The tournament drew 2,159 entrants and just 240 of them survived to make it into Day 2 but only 126 of them will make the money.
Min-cash for the bottom spots is $363 while the winner will take home $55,715, a fine return on the $150 investment. Dinh Nguyen will begin the day with 442,00 and the chiplead but TJ Shulman is not far behind with 411,500. No one else is over 300,000 but that will change quickly.
They will play 40-minute levels and won’t stop until there is a winner, or 3am, whichever comes first.
