Three Trophies Awarded on Day 5 of 2016 SHRPO

There was plenty of poker action at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino on Monday.

Three trophies were awarded on Monday, with the largest prize of the young series being awarded after the opening event came to a close.

Nicholas Mahabee outlasted a massive field of 2,570 entries to claim the trophy and the title in a six-way chop of the $360  Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em Re-Entry event. All six players remaining took an even chop. Mahabee had the most chips of any player remaining so he took the win along with his $66,435.

Running simultaneously with the opening event of the series was the $1,100 No Limit Hold’em. Barry Pevner defeated Loni Harwood heads-up and topped a field of 86 players to take home the hardware in that event and $29,197.

There was one single day event that kicked off and finished on Monday as well. Zee Rahim bested 89 players in the $300 HORSE event to take home $6,261.

Along with the three trophies that were won, there were three starting flights to the $150 No Limit Hold’em Re-Entry event. The event carries a guaranteed prizepool of $150,000 and the final three flights will get underway on Tuesday.
