WPT LHPO Championship Kicks Off Tomorrow

The schedule is running out of preliminary events and that means it’s almost time to kick off the 2022 WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open Championship. Cards go in the air on Friday at 11 am for the first of two starting flights and the $3,500 buy-in tournament features a $2,000,000 guaranteed prize pool.

We expect a huge field of pros coming out to mix with our group of loyal regulars and locals. The Grand Ballroom will be packed all weekend and the headliner will be a great way to cap an already-fantastic series.

A lot of eyes will be on Brian Altman as the only player to win the same WPT event twice; both the 2015 and 2020 WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open Championship.

We have a stellar list of former champions as we hosted the WPT main tour and WPTDeepStacks tour:

2012  – Matthew Juttelstad
2013  – Matt Giannetti
2014 – James Calderaro (Coconut Creek)
2015  – Brian Altman
2016  – Salomon Ponte
2017  – Michael Graffeo
2018  – Darryll Fish
2019  – Jason Young
2020  – Brian Altman
2021  – Ilyas Muradi
2022  – ???

Who will put their name on the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup this year? Will it be someone new or another repeat champ?

Find out starting on Friday and continuing until we have the live-streamed final table on January 26.
