WPT Poker Showdown Championship Starts Tomorrow!

We are two weeks into the 2022 Poker Showdown schedule and more than 30 tournaments are in the books. Now it is time to roll out the WPT Poker Showdown Championship on Friday morning with Day 1A at 11 am.

This tournament was our first step into the WPT spotlight back in 2011 when Taylor von Kriegenbergh won the title for more than $1.1 million. It is traditionally one of our biggest tournaments and last year it set the record for the biggest WPT main tour live event with 2,482 entries.

Like the last two WPT Poker Showdown Championships, they will play down to the final table and the last six players will head to Las Vegas to play in front of the WPT cameras for the title.

Poker Showdown Champions:

2011 – Taylor von Kriegenbergh
2012 – Tommy Vedes
2013 – Kevin Eyster
2014 – Eric Afriat
2015 – Griffin Paul
2016 – Justin Young
2017 – Tony Sinishtaj
2018 – Scott Margereson
2019 – James Carroll
2021 – Brek Schutten

Action gets underway for Day 1A at 11 am and registration will remain open until 10 pm with unlimited re-entries. The structure is deep and slow and provides plenty of room to make moves. If you fail to make it through tomorrow, Day 1B starts at the same time on Saturday.

Good luck to everyone!
