WPT TOC: Daniel Weinman Leads Final Six, Michael Mizrachi Makes Back-to-Back Tournament of Champion Final Tables

$15,000 WPT Tournament of Champions
Level 18: 5,000/10,000 with a 1,000 ante
Players Remaining: 6 of 66

Daniel Weinman

One of the most elite fields of the WPT season is down to its final six players and Daniel Weinman leads the final six players that made the televised final table of the WPT Tournament of Champions.

Weinman finished the day with 872,000 and is joined at the top of the counts by Michael Mizrachi. Mizrachi made the final table of this same event last year. He also came into the televised final table second in chips last year and finished third to take home $140,450.

Erik Seidel, Dylan Wilkerson, Daniel Santoro and David Ormsby round out the final six.

The day started with 30 players still hopeful of taking home another WPT title, but players busted out quickly and they were down to the final 10 players right after the dinner break.

With the top nine spots earning a cash, hand-for-hand didn’t last very long before Michael Mizrachi cracked Lee Markholt’s pocket jacks by making the nut flush on the river. Markholt was the bubble boy and the final nine players were in the money.

Once redrawing and combining  to one table, the action didn’t slow down. Jonathan Jaffe, who final tabled this event last year, finished ninth for $38,150, Jesse Sylvia was eliminated in eighth for $43,600, and Stefan Schillhabel bubbled the televised final table, hitting the rail in seventh for $49,050.

Cards are scheduled to get in the air on Sunday at 4 p.m. at Hard Rock Live. There is 12 minutes left in the current level and everybody is guaranteed a payout of at least $57,225. The eventual winner will get $381,500, including a seat into next year’s Tournament of Champions.
