Players are returning from a 15-minute break after the black chips were colored off. Only 12 players remain and they will redraw when down to 10 with nine of those making the money.

We expect the fast pace to continue until we have a winner.

The stacks have built enough where the players are finally able to make some moves post-flop besides an automatic shove. Just 18 players remain in the tournament with the final 9 making the money. The tournament will redraw to an unofficial final table when down to 10 players.

At the current pace, Event 5 might be complete before sundown. There are 20 left in the tournament and one of those flopped well to stay alive.

Pushing under the gun during this tournament isn’t a question of picking up the blinds/antes or if you get called, it’s about the number of people who call. The 6-seat at Table 39 was lucky to get heads up preflop when he shoved with to see he was behind the button’s but that didn’t last long.

The dealer slow pealed  to flop him the mortal nuts to stay alive.

Players are on a short 5-minute break to race off the black chips and then back at it.

Registration is now closed for Event 5 of the Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘n’ Roll Poker Open” and the players will see a little $2,200 overlay. The tournament drew 89 entrants and there are only 27 players remaining.

The final 9 spots will pay out with the winner taking home $7,000.

Not only are they not adding tables as the registration comes to a close, they have broken a table with 81 players showing so far. In theory that would be nine tables but in Turbo reality it is just five.

One player is on his 6th bullet and will need a top finish to turn a profit.

There was a double knockout on Table 36 midway through Level 7 with another three-way all-in after the flop. The two shorter stacks were holding for Aces up and for the open ended straight draw against the big stack’s nut flush draw.

The turn didn’t change any fates but the river flush pushed both short stacks to the 8-seat. It was Mr. Aces Up who went down to fire his 6th re-entry bullet. “Get that guy’s picture,” he joked as he walked away.

“This is the table that gets there,” joked the 8-seat as he was stacking chips, “I could write an article about it.”

An example of how fast players are coming and going then coming back, there are 77 entrants shown on the tournament clock yet they have not had more than six tables open throughout (54 max at a time). That might change over the last hour of registration but things are moving quickly.

Players are off on their first break of the day as the staff race off the green chips.

The 1-seat at Table 41 shoved 5,200 from the button and the small blind woke up with before the small blind open-folded . “Don’t show me that!” the 1-seat exclaimed as he rolled over , “there goes one of my outs.”

The board ran clean for the Aces and the 1-seat stood and said “Third time’s a charm. See you later.” He re-entered and drew the 7-seat at the same table.

Table 40 must have felt left out of the big three-way action as they had another big multi-way pot after flop. The 7-seat was holding for the flush draw while the 2-seat and 6-seat were both holding bottom two with and . The 6-seat was the player who earlier hit the gutshot wheel draw and did it again with the running turn then river.

“I was the one on the flush draw,” was the only comment from the 7-seat as he packed up his belongings.

The field is building up with 67 now entered as the go into Level 8.

It seems there is no slowing the players down, at least until after the re-entry period. Table 41 was the next to show down a three-way all-in with the board already reading . The 9-seat was holding two red Aces against two pair and both behind the 5-seat’s flopped set of fives .

No magic river card and there was another double elimination.

There are 41 players showing on the tournament clock mid-way through Level 7 with 90 minutes left in registration period.

“I’m all-in too!” was the shout heard in the room. Unfortunately the 3-seat at Table 40 was acting out of turn. The 6-seat moved in with after the flop and the 7-seat was still thinking when the 3-seat declared early. The 7-seat shoved as well with top pair and the 3-seat was finally able to call them off with middle set .

None were overly anxious because they were all prepared to re-enter but the 7-seat took a step towards running clubs with the turn but it was the 6-seat who got there on the river for the wheel.

“Don’t write that up,” he said to a deaf ear.
