WPT RRPO Championship Kicks off Tomorrow!

We are less than 24 hours away from kicking off the 2022 WPT Rock ‘n’ Roll Poker Open Championship and expect a great time and turnout. The $3,500 buy-in Championship features a $2,000,000 guaranteed prize pool, two starting flights, and a live-streamed final table.

Players start with 50K chip stacks and all levels last 60 minutes for Days 1 and 2, increasing to 90 minutes when 40 players are remaining. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at approximately 9:15 pm and players may re-enter as often as they wish during that time.

Day 1 will play ten levels and Day 2 will play another ten. Day 3 will continue until 16 players remain and Day 4 will work the Championship down to the six-handed final table for live-stream on Day 5.

A great way to close out the 2022 RRPO series and we look forward to see everyone!

We hope everyone is having a fantastic day and if you need some action this evening, we have something for you. Kicking off at 6 pm, it’s the $150 Holiday Deep Stack with a $10,000 guarantee and $3,500 WPT RRPO Championship seat added to first place.

Players start with 20,000 deep stacks and the first eight levels last 15 minutes. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 at 8:15 pm and blind levels increase to 20 minutes. They will play down to a champion in this one-day tournament and the last one before the Championship starts tomorrow.

Anthony Dunne dipped to 35,000 and moved all in from the small blind after Colin Robinson opened to 11,000. Natasha Mercier called in the big blind. Robinson raised to 82,000 and Mercier thought for a bit. She folded, Robinson guessed she had nines, and other the hands were flipped up.

Dunne was in great shaped with the kings and they held as the board ran out 9s8s2cJh4d for his triple up against one hand.

Two hands later, Dunne was all-in and facing Robinson once again.

Both players paired the Kc7s3c flop but Robinson remained ahead with his kings. The 5d turn and 6s river finished the board and Dunne was eliminated in sixth place.

The flop came 9h9s8s, Muraca bet 31,000 and Robinson called. The turn was 4h, Muraca bet 73,000 and Robinson called. The river was 4d, Muraca moved all in for about 70,000 and Robinson quickly called.

Robinson showed 8d8c for the flopped full house eights full of nines, Muraca showed pocket QsQh for two pair and he was eliminated in eighth place.
