Joe Kuether moved all in for about 150,000 from under the gun and Jake Schwartz called out of the small blind.

Kuether showed AsKc and needed an ace against Schwartz’s KhKd. Kuether couldn’t find the help he needed as the board ran out 7c3h2sJh4c and Kuether finished in 10th place.

Schwartz took the pot and Kuether took home $2,940 for his finish.

Event 20: Dermot Blain Doubles Through Anthony Lombard

Dermote Blain moved all in from the cutoff for 81,000 and Anthony Lombard called out of the small blind.

Blain showed Ac9s and was in the lead against Lombard’s Ad6d. The board ran out 7c3h2sJh4c and Blain faded the flush draw to double up.

Heads-Up Event Kicks Off and Seth Davies Takes Six-Max Crown on Day 15 of SHRPO

The heavily anticipated $1,650 Heads-Up No Limit Hold’em event kicked off on Thursday afternoon. The field was sold out and capped at 64 players.

It brought out some top level no limit hold’em talent down to South Florida, but after three rounds of play, the final eight players are in the money and three wins away from a SHRPO title. They will restart at 2 p.m. on Friday to play down to a winner.

Running alongside the heads-up event was Day 2 of the $1,100 No Limit Hold’em Six-Max.

It was Seth Davies who took it down after besting Harrison Gimbel heads-up. He beats a field of 186 to win $41,604 and a Hard Rock trophy.

On Friday, there are two more tournaments kicking off that will run concurrently with the heads-up event. The $300 Charity Series of Poker is a single day event that starts at 7 p.m. and will play down to a winner. There is an $1,100 No Limit Hold’em Turbo Freezeout that starts at 1 p.m. as well.

Here is a look at the schedule for Friday:

  • 2 p.m. – Day 2 – $1,650 Heads-Up No Limit Hold’em
  • 7 p.m. – Single Day Event – $300 Charity Series of Poker

Event 19: Elite Eight Starts at 2 PM

There were 64 players that started the day in the $1,650 Heads-Up No Limit Hold’em, but after three rounds of play, only eight players remain and they are all in the money.

The final eight will come back at 2 p.m. on Friday to start the second and final day of this event. After another three rounds of play, a winner will be crowned.

Jake Dollinger moved all in on the button and Joe McKeehen calls, all in for about 2,500.

Dollinger showed As5c and had McKeehen’s Qd5h dominated. The board ran out Ts6c2d5d7s and Dollinger scooped the pot to win the series 2-1 and advance to the final day.

Joe McKeehen raised to 900 on the button and Jake Dollinger called. The flop was 4d4s3c and Dollinger checked.

McKeehen bet 800 and Dollinger called. Both players checked the 2c turn card and the 2s came on the river. Dollinger bet 1,000 and McKeehen called.

Dollinger showed Ah4s, good for a full house and McKeehen mucked his hand. Dollinger won the pot and left McKeehen with just a few big blinds.

With blinds of 200/400, Joe McKeehen raised to 900 on the button and Jake Dollinger called out of the big blind. Both players check a flop of AdJh9c and the 2c comes on the turn.

Dollinger bet 925 and McKeehen called. The river was the 8s and Dollinger checked. McKeehen checked behind and Dollinger showed As5h.

McKeehen mucked his hand and Dollinger dragged the pot. He is beginning to open up a sizable chip lead over McKeehen.

The turn was the 5c and McKeehen bet 900. Dollinger called and the river was the Qd. McKeehen bet 2,400 and Dollinger quickly called.

McKeehen showed Qc3c and Dollinger mucked his hand. Mckeehen takes the pot and the chips are basically even again.
