Aleksandr Shevelev moved all in for 8,325,000 on the button, and Darryll Fish called to put him at risk.
The rails for both players pressed in against the set as the flop came — pretty safe for Fish. The on the turn didn’t change anything. Shevelev needed to river an ace or a five to stay alive, and he did just that. The completed the board, giving Shevlev a wheel and a double-up.
Fish was one card from a WPT title, but he’ll have to sit back down and try to mount a comeback once again.
