Raul Hernandez raised under the gun to 575,000, leaving himself just 5K behind, but Tim Capretta (button) didn’t notice the raise. Capretta tried to raise to 125,000, but when he put out those chips, the larger raise was pointed out.

Capretta was given two choices — he could either call the full amount of the raise in front of him (575,000) or fold and forfeit the 125,000 he already pushed forward. Capretta thought for a little while before he folded and forfeited the 125,000.

Jim Collopy quickly moved all in from the small blind, and Hernandez called all in for his last 5,000 with Ac3c. Collopy turned over Kd10d, and Hernandez needed his hand to hold to stay alive.

The board came Js9h7c6s3h, and Collopy flopped a double-gutshot straight draw, but improved no further. Hernandez won the pot with a pair of threes to double up in chips.

Raul Hernandez  –  1,405,000  (23 bb)
