Blair Hinkle raises from the hijack to 130,000, Cong Pham reraises from the small blind to 280,000, and Hinkle reraises to 450,000. Pham five-bets all in for about 1.5 million, and Hinkle calls with 9c 9d. Pham turns over Ah 9s, and he’ll need to improve to stay alive.

The board comes 6d 5s 3h Qs 8s, and the pocket nines hold up for Hinkle to win the pot and eliminate Pham in 28th place.
