Eric ward won Event 5 of the Deep Stack Series during the early morning hours of Sunday at the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood. The $150 buy-in, $10,000 guaranteed Deep Stack Turbo drew a field of 90 entries creating a prize pool of $10,800. The final table of nine was paid and Ward emerged victorious following a three-way chop. Ward held over 1,000,000 chips at the time and walked with the trophy along with a $2,500 score. Victor Capeluto, who claimed 750,000 chips, also  earned $2,500 while the short stack Alper Unsoy earned $2,128 for his 350,000-chip stack.
