Last year this series drew massive numbers from start to finish and this tournament drew more than 1,100 entries with players from around the state and country.

Ryan Hogan was among the big crowd and in contention for the title late on Day 2. Until he ran into the biggest pot of the tournament at that stage. Hogan flopped two pair kings and queens against Hector Pacheco’s pocket aces. Running threes on the turn and river sent Pacheco the pot and eventual title. Hogan battled a short stack and finished in fifth place.

Making the drive on down to @SHRHollyPoker for Deep Stacks today. I still think about that river three that defaulted my two pair at last year’s final table. One of the biggest hands I’ve ever played.
