There were 36 players coming in with max late registration and their first order of business would be to build a workable stack. Eric Rivera was one of those players and already up a bit from his 30K stack when he saw Paul Valenzu open to 10,000 from the hijack and Phil Hui three-bet to 32,000 from the cutoff.

Rivera moved all in for 52,000 from the small blind, Valenzu folded, and Hui called.

Rivera was in good shape for a double, both flopped an ace on the board, but Rivera was still ahead with his kicker. It finished with the turn and river and Rivera doubled up with aces up queen kicker.
