$570 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
$1,000,000 Guaranteed | Structure
End of Level 14: 1,200/2,400/400 ante
Flight B Entries: 296
Players Remaining: 59

The first two starting flights are complete in Event 1.

This $570 re-entry event features a $1 million guarantee, and the field is well on the way to reaching that mark, having drawn 737 entries across the first two starting sessions. Day 1A drew 441 of that with 88 advancing to Day 2, and Day 1B sent 59 of its 296 entries through. So far, a total of 147 players have advanced.

Matt Affleck finished the Day 1A flight with the big stack of 213,000 chips, but that lead did not hold through the evening flight. Ruslan Dykshteyn ended Day 1B with 251,000 chips, good for the top spot in his flight and the overall lead through opening day. Dykshteyn has experienced some previous success in this building, too, winning the April version of this same event about 18 months ago.

Matt Kuba also eclipsed Affleck’s end-of-day count, finishing with 231,000, and there are a handful of others nipping at their heels. Here’s the top five so far:

1. Ruslan Dykshteyn – 251,000
2. Matt Kuba – 231,000
3. Matt Affleck – 213,000
4. Kevin Ho – 212,000
5. Ryan Smith – 210,500

Local standouts Bruce Snell and Paul Balzano both bagged up stacks of close to 200,000 chips themselves, and the same can be said for traveling pro Ryan D’Angelo.

A bit further down the list, Spencer Champlin (159,000), “Miami” Jon Cernuto (92,000), Loni Harwood (82,000), Mike Beasley (67,000), Darryll Fish (63,000), Neil Blumenfield (50,500), and Corey Burbick (50,000) have also secured their spots in the Day 2 field. Seminole Hard Rock Poker’s Jessica Dawley also earned herself a couple days off, though she has a short stack of 21,000 chips in the bag.

The survivors from all flights will return on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. for the combined Day 2, while two more flights of players will take their seats Friday.
