South Florida is not short on poker talent and it is not gender-specific. The area seems to contain some of the best female players in the game and they continue to run up the scores. Jennifer David was the most recent to make a big run when she finished third out of 1,537 entries in the Seminole Turnpike series for more than $30,000.

But they had to start somewhere and this weekend we have a great learning opportunity for some of our beginners.
