We expected a big rush at the start of Day 2, with everyone in the money and short stacks pushing to build a stack. But we (there reporting team) didn’t expect to lose more than 100 players in the first 30 minutes; the Grand Ballroom is a busy place.

In the “no big surprise” category, Bin Weng is making another run. Our 2023 WPT Showdown champion is in the middle of a few great months. After winning the Showdown title, he finished fourth at the WPT Choctaw final table, sixth place in The Lodge High Roller, and won the $10K WPT EveryOne for One Drop event for another cool $2.2 million.

Weng bagged 416,000 but was already up to 563,000 barely before he finished stacking at the start of the day.
