Matty Bretzfield

Matty Bretzfield has been chipleader for most of the final table, but things took a bad turn for him once it got down to three players.

Kevin Ruscitti doubled thru him about 15 minutes into three-handed play, which put a big dent in Bretzfield’s stack.

A few minutes later, Bretzfield lost another pot when Ruscitti made a jack-high flush against Bretzfield’s set.

Kevin Ruscitti  –  1,190,000  (48 bb)
Matty Bretzfield  –  680,000  (27 bb)

About 12 minutes later, after a flop of Qs8c3c, Bretzfield got it all in form the big blind for 260,000 against Long Nguyen in the small blind.

Long Nguyen:  8h7c5c3d  (two pair, seven-high flush draw)
Matty Bretzfield:  Jc9s2h2c  (pair of deuces, jack-high flush draw, gutshot straight draw)

The turn card was the 9c, the river card was the 10d, and Bretzfield turned a jack-high club flush to win the pot and double up in chips.

Matty Bretzfield  –  600,000  (24 bb)
Long Nguyen  –  1,100,000  (44 bb)

The next hand, as the blinds increased to 15,000-30,000, Bretzfield got it all in preflop from the small blind for about 600,000 against Nguyen.

Long Nguyen:  AsAc6c2s
Matty Bretzfield:  KcJs7s2c

The board came Jd2d2hKdAh — Bretzfield flopped a full house, deuces full of jacks, but Nguyen spiked an ace on the river to win the pot with a higher full house, aces full of deuces, eliminating Bretzfield in third place.
