Event 16: Six-Max Big Money

$1,100 Six-Max No Limit Hold’em (Freeze-out)
Level 1: 25/50

We’re closing in on the final weekend of the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open, the tournaments are getting bigger and the fields are getting tougher. Today’s early tournament will bring out locals and top players getting in town for Championship weekend.

Event 16 is a $1,100 buy-in tournament played with a slow structure and short-handed format. Those two elements will balance out the natural fast pace of six-handed tables and give them plenty of room to maneuver. Quarter chips don’t come out of play until after the tenth level.

They’ll start with 12,000 stacks and play 30-minute levels while registration is open. Once it closes at the start of Level 11, the tournament will switch to 40-minute levels for the duration. This is a freeze-out tournament so no re-entries are allowed. If a player busts, they move on to the next event.

This is scheduled as a one-day event with a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool. It will be big, but move quickly.
