$150 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 20: 5,000/10,000/1,000 Ante
After three weeks of covering tournaments, the writing staff became accustomed to brief money bubble action. That all changed in the last tournament of the series.
It took 14 hands, one at a time, to finally put the tournament in the money after more than 30 minutes. There were six all-ins called that only produced double ups until one unnamed short stack found Kings.
There were three live players after he shoved his micro-stack and they checked it down until the board read . Mike Rumie tossed out a single 25k chip to get folds from the other players and a schoolyard vulgarity from the all-in player.
He probably thought his was beaten by and Ace but it was Rumie’s turned straight which put the field in the money.
