We caught two big hands, back-to-back, while walking past Table 12. A lot of chips moving around.
On the first hand, former RRPO Champion Michael Newman was all in for his last 80,000 against Andre Bryan and in trouble.
Newman needed a lot of help to double and the flop made things interesting. The turn paired the board and Newman paired the river. But it also gave Bryan an ace-high straight.
“I feel bad,” Bryan said after. “I like Mikey.”
“But I like myself more,” Bryan laughed.
On the very next hand, Eric Valerio and William Fife exchanged a series of raises until Valerio was all-in for 320,000.
A huge cooler for Valerio and he found no help on the flop. He picked up some chop outs on the turn but was eliminated after the river.
Andre Bryan – 360,000 (72 bb)
William Fife – 860,000 (172 bb)
