Level 17: 3,000/6,000/1,000
Players Remaining: 62/434
There were 10 overnight entries bringing the total field to 434 with 101 remaining at shuffle up and deal. The action has been quick over today’s two opening levels with the first break underway now.
A quick stroll by Table 33 reveals start-of-day chip leader Francis Margaglione, who began with 829,500 chips (more than 300,000 clear of second place), has hit the skids to start Day 2. Margaglione’s stack was at about 475,000 last we checked and it appears to have worked to Robert Hodson’s benefit. Hodson, who sits three seats to Margaglione’s right, owns 1,000,000 chips and leads the way.
Cards go back in the air in just a few minutes with blinds of 4,000/8,000 and a 1,000 ante. The clock shows 61 players remaining with the top 45 finishing in the money.
Robert Hodson – 1,000,000
Francis Margaglione – 475,000
