Event 6: Charles Rosenblatt Takes the Biggest Pot of the Tournament So Far

$1,100 Five-Card Pot Limit Omaha (Re-Entry)
Structure | Payouts
Level 15:  4,000/8,000
Players Remaining:  7 of 102

In the last hand of Level 15, Seyed Hosseini limped UTG+1 for 8,000, and Charles Rosenblatt raised from the hijack to 22,500. Robert Lupo called from the cutoff, Ha Tran called from the big blind, and Hosseini limp-pot-raised it to 116,500.

Rosenblatt called, Lupo folded, and Tran thought for a while before he also called.

Level 15 came to an end, and a floorperson informed the table that as soon as they were out of the hand, the players were on a 15-minute break.

Nobody left.

All three players checked to the turn on a board of 6d4c2c7s, Tran checked, and Hosseini bet 100,000. Rosenblatt called fairly quickly, and Tran folded.

As the dealer was pulling in the chips, one of the others players said, “I think we all want to see this hand. This is the hand of the tournament.”

The river card was the 3c, Hosseini checked, Rosenblatt bet 200,000, and Hosseini quickly folded face up, showing AhAd and three other cards that didn’t match up well with the board.

Rosenblatt took the pot worth 576,000 without showing his cards, and the players left for their 15-minute break.

Charles Rosenblatt  –  891,000  (111 bb)
Seyed Hosseini  –  123,000  (15 bb)

With seven players remaining from a field of 102, the average chip stack is about 291,000 (36 big blinds). The next player to be eliminated will earn $3,925 for seventh place.
