Niang Thu leads the Day 2 return

Three starting flights of the $1,700 Deepest Stack tournament drew more than 400 entries to double the $300,000 guarantee and they aren’t quite done yet. Day 2 gets underway with 95 players returning but registration remains open until cards go in the air at noon.

So we’ll get a few more before we lock in the final number.

Naing Thu leads the return with Mike Chiappetta, Danny Fried, Howard Feingold, and Eric Bonin rounding out the top five. It’s a tough field coming back and it will be a long grind to get the title.

Blind levels increase to 60 minutes at the start of Day 2 and go up to 90 minutes with Level 23. Plenty of room to make moves.
