$46,823 for a $150 investment.  Not a bad couple of day’s work for Kenneth Norman of Plantation, FL.  Norman overcame a massive field and a final table with blinds moving up at a staggering rate to pick up the victory in Event 7.

With chips swinging wildly across the tables, Norman managed to go from one of the shorter stacks to pouring it on late to dominate the final table and end heads-up play against Sean Shah in one hand.

Norman hit his most critical hand against Elie Joseph with aces against jacks with four players to go and then picked off Ross Fischer three-handed to put up a massive stack before ending it against Shah.  Also a factor was his decision to stay very agressive and continually turn down chop offers that were flying around even with two tables left.

“I realized the other people cared about their tournament life too much and I took advantage” said the Maryland native.  “Everyone else wouldn’t make a stand unless they had it and so I just stayed agressive.  Picking up on that made me decide that there was no way I was going to chop this.   There were times I just closed my eyes and jammed and it worked.”

Norman also credited his rail for keeping his head in the game and thanked them after the tournament during the celebration for helping him keep balanced at the table and continually assuring him not to chop and play for it.

What’s next for Kenneth?  “I have to go home and clean the house.”

But after the chores are done, Kenneth Norman plans to be back for the Main Event. If he brings his game like he did tonight, a second trophy from the Seminole Hard Rock “Rock N’ Roll” Poker Open may be in his future here in Hollywood, FL.

Congratulations to Event 7 Champion, Kenneth Norman!
