Event 9: Double Exposure

$350 Pot Limit Omaha/8 (Re-Entry)
Level 20: 5,000/10,000

Qui Van and Robert Wachtel were duking it out in a hand on our final table and the results will end up being one of the strangest hands of the series.

Van went blind vs blind against Wachtel with 30,000 in the pot pre-flop.  On a flop of Kc7d5c, Van bet pot committing 60,000 but said “all-in” with more chips behind and Watchtel called.  Thinking he was all in, Van flipped his cards up and Wachtel did the same. Since Wachtel had not raised, action was dead on the flop.  Wachtel showed QsAc3s6c and Van had 4c9cTdAh.

At that point, all the cards had been exposed but action could continue.  The Jd came on the turn and Wachtel put in his last 46,000.  Despite being behind on the high and low, Van called.  The 7c hit the river giving Wachtel the nut flush and the potand  Van was left with only 30,000 behind.

The players have finished their break and are now playing on in Level 21.
