ICYMI: Day 5 with David Prociak Winning Again; Nick Ahmadi Takes Event 1 Title

David Prociak

You would think two players earning more than $200,000 would top the stories from Monday but we’re leading off with a guy who earned $10,000.

David Prociak is a tough opponent anytime he enters our tournaments and he locked up another title last night. The former Seminole Hard Rock Poker Player of the Year won his sixth career SHRP trophy in the $360 Pot Limit Omaha tournament against a tough final table. When added to his WSOP Circuit Hollywood PLO ring he won 2017, he has a pretty nice track record here.

Prociak’s Hollywood titles:

2016 SHRPO $360 Pot Limit Omaha
2016 RRPO $300 H.O.R.S.E.
2017 LHPO $360 Pot Limit Omaha
2017 LHPO $1,650 Pot Limit Omaha
2017 WSOPC $365 Pot Limit Omaha
2019 LHPO $570 Six-Max NLH
2019 Showdown $360 Pot Limit Omaha

Nick Ahmadi

Looking at the big money, we had two massive winner’s Monday evening but only one earned a trophy. Nick Ahamdi took down the 2,958-entry opening tournament of the series after a bonus day was needed for the final table. After several close calls, Ahmadi won his first title and took home $209,977.

Just as rich after the tournament but without the hardware, Germany’s Robert Pollmeier took home the exact same amount of money after a down-the-middle chop deal with nearly identical stacks when they were heads-up.

Lisa Teebagy

Rounding out the list of Monday’s winners, Lisa Teebagy continued a great run so far this series. She already had two final tables to her credit so far, third place in the Seniors Event and fourth place in the Ladies Event, and made her third last night in the Event 10.

Of the 543 entries in the one-day tournament, she was the last player standing in the early morning to take the title along with $8,469.
