The big Purple Chip Bounty tournament drew an even 150 entries and exactly ten percent of the field survived the full 16 levels on Day 1. They made the money late on the first day with 18 getting paid before they paused for an overnight break with 15 players remaining.
WSOP bracelet winner Joey Weissman holds a huge lead at the restart while SHRP regular Richard Rice is the shortest of the 15 remaining players and Seminole Hard Rock Poker team member Stewart Newman is in the middle of the pack.

Timothy “TK” Miles got his last 2,775,000 in the pot preflop. It was on Seminole Hard Rock Poker team member Loni Harwood and she asked for a count. The dealer broke down the bet and Harwood called putting Miles at risk.

The flop didn’t improve either player falling . The turn left Miles drawing to one of the three remaining jacks. It wasn’t in the cards as the dealer completed the runout with the . Miles was eliminated in seventh place earning $47,766.
This marks another deep Seminole Hard Rock Poker run for Miles who finished second in last year’s Player of the Year race.

Charlemagne Benjamin (standing) doubles up
Luis Torres opened the action and Charlemagne Benjamin three-bet all-in for 1,800,000. It folded back to Torres and he called putting Charlemagne at risk.

Benjamin stood as the flop fell . The turn was the taking outs away from Torres as Benjamin could improve to a flush. The river paired Torres, but Benjamin’s king-high flush was best. He doubled through Torres.

Banks open-shoved for 1,650,000. Torres went into the tank. After some time, TK Miles called the clock and tournament director Tony Burns began the countdown. Torres’ clock hit zero and he open-folded for two pair. Banks won the hand.
