The clock hit 11 am and Tournament Manager Jason Heidenthal puts cards in the air for the 2021 WPT LHPO Championship.
There was little drama with the $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool. With 313 entries well before the start of the day, that mark was passed and they are building it throughout the day.
We are more than a week into the 2021 Lucky Hearts Poker Open and that means it is time to roll out the headliner of the series. The WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open Championship gets underway this morning in the Seminole Ballroom with Flight A of the $3,500 buy-in tournament.
The tournament features a $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool with two starting flights, the first today with another on Saturday.
Players will start with 40,000 deep stacks with 60 minutes levels for Days 1 and 2. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 9:15 pm and players may re-enter once per day if they lose their first stack. Play will continue through Level 10 and those with chips will advance to Day 2 on Sunday.

Thursday was the final day of the prelims, because Friday is Day 1A of the main event — the $3,500 buy-in WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open. But this final prelim shouldn’t be overlooked, as this $2,200 buy-in event attracted 335 entries and more than tripled its guarantee with a prizepool of $670,000.
There were plenty of marquee names in the field, but it was Dominique Mosley who defeated Nadya Magnus heads-up to win the title, the trophy, and a whopping $140,342.
“It feels great,” Mosley said as he discussed his first Seminole Hard Rock trophy. “I got lucky in a few big hands, and the rest is history.”
