2021 LHPO Live Updates

Event 1 Flight E: Lock Down on Flight F

$600 Deep Stack NLH (Single Re-Entry Per Flight)
$300,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 8: 400/800 with a 800 ante
Flight E Entries: 542

After a busy day at the registration desk, tournament staff announced that all available spots in Flight F at 6 pm are now locked up after hitting the 400 max player cap. That means no other new players will be able to enter but those with seats will still have their single re-entry option available to them until 10:30 pm.

That also means the Event 1 prize pool will top $1.5 million with less than a dozen re-entries this evening.

A huge thanks for the fantastic turnout to start the Lucky Hearts Poker Open.

Event 1 Flight E: Cruising Along with Another 500 Entry Field

$600 Deep Stack NLH (Single Re-Entry Per Flight)
$300,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 7: 300/600 with a 600 ante
Flight E Entries: 514

Joseph Gotlieb

Despite having no new players since the start with the cap lock, the re-entries continued to push the totals higher with nearly 2,500 now in the game. The prize pool will surely hit $1.5 million before registration closes tonight on Flight F for a 5x on the $300,000 guarantee.

We found Joseph Gotlieb back with us and he has a bit of history with this room. SHR Hollywood hosted its one and only WSOP Circuit series in 2017 before it moved to our sister properties and that means there is only one WSOP Circuit Hollywood Main Event Champion. That would be Gotlieb. He outlasted 904 others to take home the big WSOP Circuit Main Event ring along with more than $250,000.

ICYMI: Nick Pupillo Denies Yuval Bronshtein; Event 1 Crosses One Milly

2021 LHPO Event 3 Champion Nick Pupillo

The first Friday of the LHPO series had two more flights of the big opening event plus the popular H.O.R.S.E. tournament made its return to the schedule.

Event 3 was the first mix game and it drew 102 entries to tie for the second biggest H.O.R.S.E. field in our history. Nick Pupillo is mainly a No Limit Hold’em player but joined this tournament after bagging a top 20 stack in Event 1 a day earlier. Yuval Bronshtein was also in the field and looking to go back-to-back after winning the Event 2 title.

The two of them would make it all the way down to heads-up play and Pupillo denied a second title to Bronshtein with the outright win. In a strange coincidence, this was Pupillo’s third SHRP trophy after he went back-to-back in consecutive days during the 2014 Rock N Roll Poker Open.

You can find full updates for Event 3 at the link below.

Final table results:

1st: Nick Pupillo – $9,570
2nd: Yuval Bronshtein – $6,380
3rd: Ian Feller – $4,331
4th: Devin Weinberg – $3,048
5th: Lazaro Rodriguez – $2,228
6th: John Simcox – $1,694
7th: Bryce Fox – $1,225

Event 1 Flight E: Count Climbing; Flight F Filling

$600 Deep Stack NLH (Single Re-Entry Per Flight)
$300,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 3: 100/200 with a 200 ante
Flight E Entries: 420

Zach Mullenix

Flight E is up to 420 entries with another 20 coming via re-entry to put the prize pool over $1.2 million. With Flight E capped at 400 players before the start of the day, players are now lining up to buy into Flight F at 6 pm. That will also hit the max number so come down and get your seat.

Zach Mullenix made his way into the penultimate flight trying for his second LHPO trophy. He earned his first here last January with a win in the $1,100 Eight-Handed tournament. Mullenix won a WSOP Circuit ring at our sister room in Coconut Creek and booked a $37K cash for a second-place finish in our 2020 November Holiday Special.

Event 1 Flight E: Eric Piderit Trying to Stay Hot

$600 Deep Stack NLH (Single Re-Entry Per Flight)
$300,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 2: 100/100 with a 100 ante
Flight E Entries: 404

Eric Piderit

The entry count is going up slower than usual because only re-entries are now allowed but it will begin to climb faster as more players are eliminated.

Eric Piderit is trying to avoid being one of those cases and his recent hot streak might help. He played in our Fun in the Sun series over the holidays and booked three cashes with two final tables. When combined with his wife Tamra, the couple made the final table in three of the five events during the series.

Event 1 Flight E: Cards in the Air

$600 Deep Stack NLH (Single Re-Entry Per Flight)
$300,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 1: 100/100
Flight E Entries: 400

Cards are in the air for Flight E of LHPO Event 1 with the field already capped at 400 unique players. That does not mean the entry count will not go up, each of these 400 players have a single re-entry option available to them if they go bust.

Anyone interested in playing Flight F tonight at 6 pm is encouraged to buy their seat now. That one will likely cap at 400 players before the start of play as well.

Event 1 Flight E: Going Big

$600 Deep Stack NLH (Single Re-Entry Per Flight)
$300,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 1: 100/100

The first Saturday of the Lucky Hearts Poker Open series will be a big one. We are running the last two flights of Event 1, a tournament that already boosted its $300,000 guaranteed prize pool over $1,000,000, and we expect to cap out both.

The first four flights combined to put 1,906 entries in the game with today’s action expected to add more than 1,000 on top.

Players will start with 20,000 deep stacks and all Day 1 levels last 30 minutes. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 2:30 pm with a single re-entry option available. For safety’s sake, each flight is capped at 400 unique players and that number was hit for Flight E before cards went in the air.

Flight E will continue through the day until only 12.5% of the field remains. Those with chips will return on Sunday at 2 pm already in the money and set to play down to a champion.

  • $300,000 Guaranteed Prize Pool
  • Players begin with 20,000 in chips
  • Day 1 levels last 30 minutes; Day 2 levels last 40 minutes
  • Late registration until start of Level 8 (2:30pm)
  • Single re-entry per flight
  • 400 players max per flight
  • Day 1 will end when field reaches 12.5%
