The November Holiday Special attracted 253 entries over two starting days and created a prize pool of $245,410, more than doubling the $100,000 guarantee. 33 players returned on Day 2 already in the money and in the end, it was déjà vu as a familiar face emerged victoriously.  Ricardo Eyzaguirre, who just last month won the October Anniversary Special, was back at it again.

A deal between the final three players took place once again and as the chip leader, Eyzaguirre was the official champion of the November Holiday Special!

“Man, it feels good,” said Eyzaguirre after the win. “I’ve been working at this a long time and never went back to back, especially like this with two tournaments in the same place, so it feels good.”

What is it that seems to be clicking for Eyzaguirre?

“I definitely like the structure, how it gets slower and slower as it progresses, and it lets you pick your spots better. I came in with a lot of chips, and I felt like I could do it. I said I was going to bring my best game today and try to do the best I can. I needed it to go back-to-back.”

As for continuing to play during the global pandemic, Eyzaguirre was again complimentary of the Safe+Sound protocols implemented by the Seminole Hard Rock.

“I like to go to places that have the plexiglass in place and have the dealers and floors taking care of the players. I try to stick to places like the Seminole Hard Rock that have good methods and procedures because even though we are able to play, we still have to stay careful.”
