A heads-up chop was agreed upon at the final table between Milo Jiang and Nick Ahmadi. As the slight chip leader, it was Jiang who was the official Event 53 winner for $27,015.

Frank Lagodich raised to 80,000 from the small blind, Raffaelle Sorrentino three-bet to 290,000 in the big blind, Lagodich four-bet all in with a covering stack, and Sorrentino called all in for 1,165,000 with , leading Lagodich’s .

James Calderaro moved all in under the gun for 380,000, but Natasha Mercier didn’t see it, and she put out 45,000 from the hijack, presumably thinking she was putting in the initial raise.

A floorperson was called over, and Mercier was given the option of folding and forfeiting her 45,000 bet, or calling the all-in amount. Mercier used one of her Time Chips to tank for a while before she called.

Then action folded to Marc Spungin in the big blind, and he used a Time Chip to tank for a while before he moved all in over the top for roughly 500,000.
