The Flight A entry count is quickly climbing, more than doubling over the first level and it is now over 200 with a lot of time to build it up. More than three hours remain to get in the game but Flight B goes at 5 pm if you miss out.

Jeffrey Trudeau Jr took an early seat and sports one of the better lists of accomplishments in the room. The young grinder already has more than $1,7 million in career earnings, 194 recorded cashes, and 20 tournament wins.

Seven of those wins resulted in a WSOP Circuit ring including the WSOPC Coco High Roller title at our sister room in Coconut Creek.

Event 1 kicked off the 2019 RRPO series but Event 2 will award the first trophy. The $400 Limit Omaha 8 tournament has a one-day format and we will crown our first champ later this evening.

Each entrant will sit down to a 12,000 starting stack and all levels last 30 minutes. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 4:30 pm and players may re-enter as often as they wish during that time. There is a dinner break scheduled at 6 pm and they will play down to a winner when they return.

This the first of many non-hold’em games and should have a talented group of players.

Nic Manion is having a good start to his series. Midway through the first level, a new player to the table put his brand new stack in the middle after catching kings on his first hand. Manion was sitting behind him with aces and left his opponent with only 200 behind when the rockets held.

The micro-stack went in on the next hand, Manion and another opponent in the big blind came along to see a flop. The big blind ended up getting his 20,300 stack all-in and Manion called.

Manion faded clubs on the turn and river to send both players out while early stacking to 63,400. He found two big pairs in consecutive hands and got action on both.

The clock hit 11 am and tournament staff put cards in the air to start the 2019 RRPO series. The start of a 26-tournament run that will culminate with our WPT RRPO Champion in two weeks.

Players will notice a little change from the last few series. The tournaments will play out in the same area but the Event Center was replaced by the upgraded Seminole Ballroom. A huge space with 90 tables spread from front to back.

The wait is over and it’s time to kick off the 2019 Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open”. We are starting off big with Event 1 featuring a huge $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool.

The tournament has a $400 buy-in and eight starting flights between now and Saturday evening. Plenty of chances to enter and spin up a stack for a deep run.

Players will start with 20,000 deep stacks and all Day 1 levels last 30 minutes each. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 3:30 pm with unlimited re-entries available during that time. They will continue playing through Level 14 when all remaining players will bag up their chips for a Day 2 return on Sunday.

It’s sure to be an exciting time over the next two weeks and this will be a great start to the series.
