Action folded around to Habib Jahangard in the small blind and he completed. Jeff Kessler checked his option in the big, the flop came and Jahangard checked. Kessler bet 1,300,000 and Jahangard check-raised two barrels of 100K chips.
Thinking Jahangard was all-in, Kessler called and was about to table his hand. The dealer stopped him from exposing his cards and Kessler paid off the 4,200,000 bet. Jahangard had 325,000 behind and tossed them in after the turn to get a quick call.

After a full orbit with very little action, Robert Pollmeier and Mohammed Tarkmani mixed it up. Tarkmani opened to 625,000 from early position and Pollmeier three-bet to 1,725,000. Habib Jahangard thought about coming along but folded it back to Tarkmani. He called and the flop came .

We had 2,958 entries in the opening, 423 came back for Day 2 and 14 hours of play was not enough to crown a champion. There are still ten players remaining with a chance to earn the title and they return this afternoon at 2pm to play out the final table.
Jeff Kessler comes back as the chip leader and looking for his second SHRP title to go along with a Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open Seniors win. WSOP bracelet winner Arkadiy Tsinis is the shortest stack but he can run it up with the slow structure.
