Jay Romano

We heard a lot of commotion across the room and got there in time to see Jay Romano send one player out and double through another.

As told by the table, it was a family pot to a 8s7d2d flop with David Aker, David Saffron, and Jay Romano playing the major roles.

The two-seat went all in for 30,000 to get a call from Romano, David Saffron reshipped from the small blind, and Romano called again after Aker bailed early.

Saffron: 8d7h
Big Blind: QdQc
Romano: Ad3d

Saffron was ahead with top two, Romano was looking for a diamond. and the queens were hoping for a comeback as the short stack. Romano immediately hit the 4d turn to take the lead and the 4h river locked up his hand.

But the river also got Aker out of his seat as he excitedly claimed to have folded pocket fours after the flop.

Jay Romano – 135,000
David Saffron – 47,600

The turn brought the Ac, it checked to Anderson again who bet 2,500 this time. His opponent called.

The river was the 7c, and the big blind led out 7,500. Anderson shoved for 22,900 and his opponent went into the tank.

“Will you show if I fold?” he asked. Anderson replied “Can’t tell you that.”

He thought a little while longer then put in the calling chips with Ah8s for two-pair. It was no good however as Anderson turned up 9c4d for a rivered straight.

“I knew you had bullshit cards.. I didn’t know if that seven helped you”

Calvin Anderson – 67,000 (223 bb)

Dentale called and the flop came As5c2c, Dentale checked and Dunst bet 600. Late position called as did Dentale.

The turn brought the 9d, and Dentale led out 1,500. Dunst folded and late position shoved for 6,200.

“That makes absolutely no sense, unless you have an ace and a flush draw” Dentale said as he put in the calling chips.

His opponent tabled 9s5s for two-pair and was out in front for the moment against Dentale’s Ad7h.

The river brought the 7d giving Dentale a higher two-pair to eliminate his opponent.
