With the field down to 67 players, it was time to begin hand-for-hand play on the end-of-flight Money Bubble. But first, the players needed to finish the hands already in progress.

David Smith raised from the button to 5,000, the player in the small blind moved all in for 62,000, and Smith thought for a bit before he called with Jc8c.

The small blind turned over AsKs, and needed it to hold to stay alive.

The board came Js5c4h5h2c, and Smith paired his jack on the flop to win the pot and eliminate the small blind in 67th place, bursting the Money Bubble before hand-for-hand play could even begin.

David Smith  –  313,000  (63 bb)

The remaining 66 players are bagging and tagging their chips for Day 2, where they will all be in the money.

Chris Da-Silva
Event 28 Champion Chris Da-Silva

There were 95 entries in the two-day $1,100 Triple Stack Six-Max event, with 12 finishing in the money and seven players advancing to the final table on Day 2. Eventual winner Chris Da-Silva amassed a gigantic chip lead on Day 1, beginning the final table with more than 45% of all the chips in play, worth 260 big blinds.

If it hadn’t been for Da-Silva, Sebastian Toro Henao would have had a big lead of his own with 127 big blinds. (The other five players had between 19 and 49 big blinds each.) So it was no surprise that Da-Silva and Henao ended up heads-up against each other at the end.

After the elimination of Max Stevens in third place, Da-Silva started heads-up play with a 2.5-to-1 lead over Henao.

Then, in the first hand of heads-up play, Henao bet every street on a board of 9s6h5sKh6c, moving all in on the river for 570,000. Da-Silva eventually called with Js9h for two pair, nines and sixes, but Henao turned over Ks6d to double up into the lead with a full house.

That was the first time that Da-Silva didn’t have the lead at the final table, but Da-Silva managed to keep it close over the next 20 minutes.

The key hand came after a flop of Ad8c3c, with Da-Silva check-raising to 100,000, and then betting 140,000 on the 7c on the turn.

The river card was the Ah, Da-Silva checked, Henao bet 600,000, and Da-Silva check-raised all in for 1,120,000. Henao tanked for several minutes before he called with AcJs for trip aces. But Da-Silva turned over 7s7d to win the pot with a full house, doubling up to an 80-to-1 chip lead.

Down to two big blinds, Henao doubled up the next hand before Da-Silva won it all with pocket nines against six-deuce suited. Da-Silva won the title, the trophy, and $27,825.

Da-Silva is from England, and has more than $1.3 million in live tournament earnings, though this is his first trophy here at Seminole Hard Rock.

Congratulations to Chris Da-Silva!
