Event 23: David Eldridge Wins Championship ($146,100), Rubin Ybarra 2nd Place ($84,700)

$1,100 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 31: 60,000/120,000/20,000 Ante

After nearly letting this tournament get away, David Eldridge came from behind again and clinched the Event 23 title.

Eldridge did his usual 260,000 chip raise but this time Rubin Ybarra pushed his stack into the middle and Eldridge quickly made the call. But Eldridge found himself dominated as Ybarra showed AdQs to his AcJs.

Once agains after the flop of 5c7cTd Ybarra found himself in a strong position to win the hand and even things out.  But the Tc came on the turn giving Eldridge outs to a flush and he got there after the Qc came on the river.  The flush gave Eldridge the hand and the championship.  After a terrific run, Rubin Ybarra finishes in 2nd place for $84,700.

Congratulations to our Event 23 Champion – David Eldridge!
