Event 1 Day 1E: Last Level

$350 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 14: 1,200/2,400/300 Ante

Flight 1E is down to the final level of the day, top stacks are trying to build them bigger for a deep run on Sunday while the short stacks are making moves, looking to move into contention or get in the final flight which just kicked off.

They’ll play 20 minutes and then random draw a set number of hands to complete the day. An impressive number of players still remain after the quick post-registration purge. They just broke another table to get them under 200 for the first time since the start of day.

Level 1: 25/50

After a spectacular Day 1E and crushing the tournament’s $500,000 guarantee, it promises to be another amazing evening here at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open.

2,280 entries are already in the books as we head into tonight’s play as players will have their final opportunity to reach Day 2 and a chance at the Event 1 title.

Event 1 Day 1E: David Hartsman Takes Late Lead

$350 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 13: 1,000/2,000/300 Ante

No more breaks for the 1E players. Unless they bust out and want to play the final flight, then they’ll have a few minutes to sit around until that one gets going.

The late leader is David Hartsman as he amassed 291,000 during the day, getting close to our overall leader from the previous four flight. He has two tournament cashes to his credit and both were right here. Hartman cashed in a Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Deep Stack event in 2013 and another this past spring in the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown.

Event 1 Day 1E: Dearly Departed

$350 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 11: 600/1,200/200 Ante

A quick walk through the field found quite a number of our previous mentions no longer among us. They’ll have one more chance at 6pm to advance or pick another tournament.

“Miami John” Cernuto failed to make it through 1E along with Jason Young, Nigel Murray, Brett Bader, and David Diaz. Another player is back today with a chance for a repeat final table.

Glen Cressman finished sixth in this event last year for a very nice $35,831 payout, a nice return on his $350 investment.

Event 1 Day 1E: Dropping Fast

$350 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 10: 500/1,000/100 Ante

Despite the near 50 big blind average stack, there’s been a steady stream of exits since the last break leaving less than 300 players remaining as Level 10 rolls through.

The tables are breaking fast while we’re catching up with those sent out the door and the bigger stacks in the room.

We had one player stop by who was waiting for the 6pm flight this evening. John Reese captured the Event 2 title last evening in the biggest non-Hold’em game thrown here in recent memory, today he stopped by to pick up his custom-framed winner’s photo courtesy of Seminole Hard Rock Poker, Eric Harkins, and IMPDI.

Every main tournament winner will take home one of these beauties for some nice added value.

Event 1 Day 1E: Massage Day

$350 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 7: 250/500/50 Ante

With this many people in the ballroom, now up to 650 entrants in Level 7, it sometimes gets a little loud. Especially if you load up a table full guys having fun.

Table 22 is one of those and their names have been redacted to protect their anonymity. But they are having a blast.

It started early with one player getting a massage and calling over as many massage therapists as he could find. Before long, six of the nine players at the table were splitting time between relaxing and laughing at anything mildly amusing.
