Action is underway early today in The Poker Room at Seminole Hard Rock with an 11am start time for Day 1B of Event 10. It is the second of five flights for the $350 buy-in $250,000 Guarantee tournament which drew 169 players on Day 1A with 26 surviving into Day 2.

Friday Fun At Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘n’ Roll Poker Open”

Thursday night saw the first flight of Event 10,  a $250,000 Guaranteed $350 No Limit Hold ‘Em Deep Stack tournament take place and there were 169 paid entrants. Today there will be two more flights as we head into the final day on Sunday, November 24th.  The first flight of the day, Day 1B, will start at 11 a.m. and the second flight of the day, Day 1C, will start at 7 p.m.

We’re expecting a huge prize pool so don’t miss your chance to join in on the action. If you don’t want to be an alternate, it’s a good idea to come down and register early. The tournament has 30 minute levels on the first day of play and players will start with 20,000 in chips, or an amazing 400 big blinds. Players can re-enter/register on any start day until the end of Level 4 and in addition can play in any of the five flights with the largest surviving stack being the stack that carries forward to Sunday. Play will conclude at the end of day 1 at the end of Level 14.

We will be providing continuous updates for both events on our live updates blog. Coming up in just a few weeks is Event #18, the $500,000 Guarantee No Limit Hold’Em Championship Event. It starts on Friday, November 29th. Here is the full schedule of events that you won’t want to miss out on:

Event 10 Day 1A: Chip Leaders Tangle

$300 + $50 No Limit Hold’em Deep Stack

We are done for the day now but on one of the last hands before breaks two of the top three in chips got it all in for a 400K+ pot. Norman Guigui had built  his stack back up to over 225K after losing the two big pots mentioned earlier. The board read QhJd5d9h and there was a little more than 50K in the pot when Guigui moved all in. His opponent, Marvin Young, made the call. Norman probably thought he was in great shape with Q-T for top pair and a straight draw but he was drawing thin since Young held KhQs for top pair with a bigger kicker. The river was the Qc giving both players trips but Young’s kicker played to give him the massive pot.

We’ll have full chip counts for the surviving players as soon as they become available.
