Day 1H of Event 6 began at 3:00 pm with 525 players, which was the largest field so far until the 7:00 pm Day 1I crushed it with (unofficially) 679 players.

After the third and final break, there are 77 players remaining in the Day 1H field, with an average chip stack around 68,000 (34 big blinds).

After four levels of play, registration is now closed for Day 1I of Event 6 ($125 No-Limit Hold’em w/ $150K Guarantee).

Unofficially, there are 679 players in the field, which would create a total field size of 3,617 and a prizepool of $361,700. Those numbers are unofficial until the casino cage verifies all the numbers and releases the official prizepool information.

The field size for the last starting flight of Event 6 continues to grow. There are already 477 entrants, and registration remains open for another hour yet.

That makes the total field size for this $125 buy-in event 3,416 entrants, which means the prizepool is $341,600 and still climbing. Hard to deny that this is one of the highest-value $125 buy-in tournaments you’ll ever find.

Matt Waxman, a WPT champion, busted a player shortly after play resumed, which is what catapulted him up among the chipleaders.

After a flop of , Waxman bet 2,100 from the small blind, the UTG player moved all in for about 18,000, and a third player folded from middle position.

Waxman called with for a pair of tens, and his opponent turned over for an open-ended straight draw with two overcards.

The turn was the , giving her a higher pair of queens, but the on the river gave Waxman trip tens to win the pot and eliminate his opponent.

Play has come to a close in the Day 1G starting flight at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open for Event 6 ($125 no-limit hold’em – $150,000 guaranteed) and we have 38 players that have made it through from the field of 325 players. The chip leader from the flight is Sebastien Soares with 254,300 and notables that made it through include Michael Rocco (115,400) and Bill Mullins (44,400). The survivors will return at 1 p.m. ET on Thursday, August 15 for Day 2 action in this event.

We have another large turnout at the close of registration in the Day 1H starting flight of Event 6 ($125 no-limit hold’em – $150,000 guaranteed) at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open. There are 525 players in the flight and 243 of them currently remain in action. That puts the total field size at 2,939 and the prize pool now stands at $293,900.
