As we’ve been fond of doing over the last few years, we are throwing a big buy-in one-day tournament. This time around it has a $5,000 buy-in at noon with a $250,000 guarantee and it will crown one of our last champ later this evening.

They’ll start with 20K stacks and all levels last 30 minutes. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 at 4:30 pm. The 45-minute dinner break is scheduled for 6:30 pm and they’ll return to the tables to battle for the title.

Showdown Event 72 is conveniently also a Limit 2-7 Triple Draw game, all the deuces and sevens. The $400 tournament gets underway at 11 am and it will be a lot of fun to close out the series.

They’ll start with deep 30K stacks and all levels last 30 minutes. Late registration are available until the start of Level 9 at 4:30 pm and they can fire as often as needed if they miss their draws.

We are closing out the Poker Showdown with five new trophy events on the last day of the series starting with the first at 11 am. It is a $400 Deep Stack No-Limit Hold’em tournament with a ton of play for one of the last trophies.

2024 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Event 70 Champion Michael Newman

Event 70 of the 2024 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown was a $1,100 Purple Chip Bounty Turbo No-Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry). A field of 109 entries generated a prize pool of $54,500, with an additional $54,500 set aside for bounties. Taking it down was Michael Newman, winning $16,200 for his first-place finish.

This marked Newman’s 11th SHRP major series victory, putting him one behind leader Raminder Singh’s 12.

Event 68 of the 2024 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown was a $600 Triple Stud, drawing 52 entries for a prize pool of $27,040. Emerging victorious was Donny Rubinstein, winning outright for $10,000.

This marked Rubinstein’s second SHRP major series trophy, having previously won an Omaha-8 event during the 2021 SHRPO. Rubinstein also prevented runner-up finisher Ryan Hoenig from winning a record-setting fourth trophy in one series.
