Level 18: 5,000/10,000 Blinds, 10,000/20,000 Limits
Players Remaining: 5 of 74

John Binns

In just a couple levels, the final table participants have been cut in half and one of the smaller stacks became the chip leader.

The money bubble burst when Steven Pollack hit the rail 10th place, leaving the final nine players in the money. John Binns, who came into the redraw with just 32,000 in chips, roughly three big bets, is now the chip leader. He’s ran his stack up to 380,000 over the last few levels.

Here are the payouts up to this point:

6th: Michael Guardino – $1,132
7th: Perry Werber – $944
8th: John Reese – $755
9th: Marty Raschkovan – $566

Event 1 Day 1B: Daren Stabinski Looks For Second Bag

$360 Ultimate Re-Entry No Limit Hold’em
$500,000 Guaranteed
Level 8: 400/800 with a 75 ante
Total Entries: 259

Daren Stabinski

On a flop of Ks9c3c, the player in the cutoff bets 2,600 and Daren Stabinski raises to 7,200 on the button. The cutoff thinks for a few moments and folds.

Stabinski mucks his hand and takes the pot. He already bagged 77,000 just a short time ago at the conclusion of Day 1A, but players have the option to play other flights, take the best stack forward and earn $2,500 in cash for each additional flight that they survive.

Stabinski is off to a good start in 1B and already has more than double his original starting stack. He is looking to be one of the first players to bag multiple stacks and leave Day 1B with cash in his pocket.

Daren Stabinski – 39,500

Event 1 Day 1A: Miguel Martinez Leads 32 Survivors

$360 Ultimate Re-Entry No Limit Hold’em
$500,000 Guaranteed
Level 17: 5,000/10,000 with a 1,000 ante
Players Remaining: 32 of 327

Miguel Martinez

Just two hands after the level changed and blinds were 5,000/10,000, the bubble burst and the final 32 players all secured a spot in Day 2.

Miguel Martinez bagged up the chip lead, finishing Day 1A with 355,000 in chips. Other notables to survive the first flight include Ricardo Eyzaguirre (285,000), Paul Balzano (164,000) and Daren Stabinski (77,000).

There is 25:38 remaining in the level and becomes the baseline for where Day 2 will start. If any subsequent flight finishes before this point in the structure, that will become the new Day 2 starting point.

Day 1B registration is running and there are 256 entries thus far, approaching the end of level 7. Registration is open until the start of level 13.

Chip Counts from both flights will be posted later tonight.

The flop is Qd5d2c and both players check to the 10s turn. The big blind leads out for 10,000 and Balzano moves all in for the big blind’s remaining 30,000.

The big blind folds, Balzano wins the pot and hand-for-hand continues.

Paul Balzano – 145,000

We have two flights of the Ultimate Re-Entry event running side-by-side but time is running out for anyone who would like to hop into the early flight. They will play out this level, take a 15-minute break, then shut registration down for the first flight.

SHRP regular Marcus Stein is one of the later entries into Flight A and he is busy switching from playing to entertaining the table. Despite 11 final tables and $330,000  in career earnings, he’s still looking for his first SHRP trophy.

Event 1 Day 1B: Filling up the Room

$360 Ultimate Re-Entry No Limit Hold’em
$500,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 1: 25/50

We are still running strong in Flight A of the Ultimate Re-Entry event even as we kick off the second flight of the tournament. Registration will close for Flight A at 5:45pm but some players will opt to fire their next bullet into the evening session with more time to run it up.

The Ultimate Re-Entry format rewards players for advancing more than one stack to Day 2 on Sunday. They are allowed to play as many of the eight flights as they wish and they will pick up a $2,500 Multi-stack award if they survive more than once. Their smallest stack(s) will be pulled out of play, they will earn a $2,500 cashout each one removed, and play their biggest stack on Day 2.

Each flight will also play down to the money before stopping action. Everyone advancing to Day 2 will already be in the money and the bubble will burst when 10% (rounding down) remain in each starting flight.

Everyone will start with 15,000 out front and each flight will run 30-minute levels. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 13 at 11:45pm and they will continue playing until all remaining players are in the money.

Cards go in the air at 5pm and we’ll stay on top of them the entire way.

  • $500,000 Guaranteed Prize Pool
  • Players begin with 15,000 in chips and 30-minute levels
  • Late registration/re-entry available until start of Level 13
  • 10% of each flight’s field, rounded down, will advance to Day 2
  • All Day 2 players will be in the money
  • Players surviving more than one Day 1 flight will receive a $2,500 cash payout for each lesser multiple chip stack
