Brian Benderoff
Brian Benderoff leads the High Roller for the restart

The $25K High Roller event drew a huge crowd yesterday with nearly 100 entries to easily surpass the numbers we saw for this event in August. That meant there was a lot of play and the field didn’t reach the money with 13 players remaining until 5:30am when Florida #1 Jason Mercier went out on the stone-cold bubble in the wee hours of the morning.

Because of the late stoppage of play, those 13 players are returning at 4pm instead of the regularly scheduled 2pm restart.  Brian Benderoff has the lead when they return but there is plenty of skill left in the game with big names from top to bottom.

They are slowing making their way to the meeting room and cards will fly shortly.

The biggest pot of the tournament happened when the two biggest stacks went at each other. Scott Clements, Chance Kornuth, and Charbel Azzi went to the 9h5s2d flop when things went huge.

Clements led out for 60,000 and Kornuth announced “pot” for 348,000. Azzi moved out of the way and Clements thought things out for a few minutes. With ~75,00 sitting behind Kornuth, Clements put him all-in and got a call.
