Latin Night at L Bar

Not every moment can be spent building stacks in the Event Center during the series and there are plenty of options around the property. We have all kinds of entertainment, food, and drink and tonight will be a fun one at L Bar specifically.

Thursday is Latin Night in the bar and you can catch some flavor from Miami’s La Linea playing from 7pm to 10pm. The bar will be hopping and a good time will be had by all.

For those playing in Flight A this afternoon, you will have plenty of time to bag up your chips after Level 14 and head on over.

Jason Young (left) and Michael Newman (right)

It’s not all serious business in the Event Center today. Jason Young and Michael Newman, two of our most recent major winners, have been sitting together most of the day and the laughs can be heard non-stop across the room.

“You run so bad here!” Young needled the Ultimate Re-Entry winner.

“I’m wrong,” Young laughed. “You win everything here but nothing outside of Florida.”

Newman took it all, laughed, and gave some right back. It’s easy to have fun for Newman and his 135,000 puts him among the leaders.

Phil Hui

The Omaha 8 tournament recently came back from their first break and the field moved over 50 entries while they were gone. A fine turnout for the specialty game so far with more expected.

Notables in early action include Eric Rivkin, Brian Gelrod, and David Shmuel along with Phil Hui coming off an Omaha 8 victory during the 2019 Lucky Hearts Poker Open.
