Event 17: Another November Niner Matchup

$5,300 Championship NLH $10 Million Guaranteed (Re-Entry)

Level 12: 600/1,200/ 200 ante

A pair of November Niners have again landed at the same table and clashed in the same pot.  John Racener (bb) bet 11k on the turn with the board showing Ad8h4hAh.

2011 November Niner and 3rd place WSOP Main Event finisher Ben Lamb was in the cutoff and after some thought, he called.

The river delivered the 7s.  John fired 27k at the pot.  Ben took a minute, then released his hand.

With that pot, John chipped up to ~170k.  After folding Ben still had about 173k.

Here’s some of the latest updates from the Twitter-verse, including a couple of bustouts.

Event 17: Krunking It Up Higher

$5,300 Championship NLH $10 Million Guaranteed (Re-Entry)

End of Level 11: 500/1,000/100 ante

Players are on break at the end of the level and according to the clock, there are only 153 remaining.

Just before the break, a big hand played out on Table 10.  The flop read Th5h3c and the player in seat 7 (sb) bet 5k.

Bob ‘Uncle Krunk’ Panitch raised to 10,200 from the big blind, then Richard Kirsch (utg) called.  The button folded and the small blind called.

Turn was the 6c and all hell broke loose.  Seat 7 bet 10,200, Bob messily shoved his whole stack in (54,200) and Richard Kirsch called all in for less.  Seat 7 called, having Bob covered, and showed AcTc for top pair with club flush draw.  Richard rolled over Qh4h for open-ender with heart flush draw.  Bob rolled over pocket 5s for the set and the lead.

Somehow Bob managed to fade half the deck as the river was the 6s giving him a full house.  Richard was busted and Bob chipped up to about 190k.

Event 17: Clash of the November Niners?

$5,300 Championship NLH $10 Million Guaranteed (Re-Entry)

Level 11: 500/1,000/100 ante

Not exactly a WSOP Main Event re-match, but pretty close.

Joe Cada, the 2009 WSOP Main Event Champion has been seated right in front of us on table 7 all day today.

Then John Racener, the 2010 WSOP Main Event runner-up got moved to table 7, putting two November Niners on the same patch of felt.

It didn’t last long, however, as table 7 has broken and it’s players scattered into empty seats elsewhere in the room.

Event 17: Farber Fills Up

$5,300 Championship NLH $10 Million Guaranteed (Re-Entry)
Level 11: 500/1K/ 100 ante

David Farber
David Farber

David Farber calls an opponent’s all-in, and shows the nuts after fifth street is dealt when he flips over 8d9c to make a flopped full house 8s9s9d. The turn and river bricks for his opponent, who mucks his cards face down before departing from the tournament. Farber is sitting on about 240K.

171 players left.

Event 17: Krunk it Up!

$5,300 Championship NLH $10 Million Guaranteed (Re-Entry)
Level 11: 500/1K/ 100 ante

Bob 'Uncle Knunk' Panitch
Bob ‘Uncle Knunk’ Panitch

We see 3 players involved on a flop of Js4c2s. The player in the big checks. The player under the gun, who was the original aggressor pre-flop, fires out 7600. Bob “Uncle Krunk” Panitch (Northbrook, IL) then bumps it up to 24K. Both players do not hesitate before folding. “Uncle Krunk” Panitch then happily flips over his Jd to scoop the pot with a pair of Jacks.
