Event 1: Regulars Pile In

$350 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 4: 100/200

Level 4 was most active on the tournament board as the field has grown over 300 for the flight. Former winner Nigel Murray jumped into the action and quickly had to hit the registration desk for another entry when couldn’t beat flopped bottom two against an opponent.

Peter Striano, another Seminole Hard Rock Poker Room fixture and 3rd place finisher in the 2013 Seminole Hard Rock Rock and Roll Poker Open Main Event, has joined the fun and we are beginning to gather chip counts of the local regulars.

Event 1: More Bullets

$350 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 3: 75/150

The second level wasn’t so kind to a few folks including Zach Kessler. Angel Vu and Kessler filled in the blanks as he hit the rail. His turned two pair with KxQx was no good against the 5-seat’s flopped set of Fives.

While gathering those details, two other dealers announced “seat open!” and action is heating up while Kessler went back to the registration desk for his second bullet.

The field has grown over 250 players as they move into the third level of the day and three-time WSOP Circuit champion Nancy Birnbaum is back in the ballroom with her second shot at making Day 2.

Event 1: Level Up

$350 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 2: 50/100

The first 30 minutes are in the book and everyone is relaxed in the tournament area. No one found their way out the door but many more are showing up.

The 1C field went over 200 players during the first level. Some Seminole Hard Rock poker regulars have joined the field including Errol Massey, Zach Kessler, and Angel Vu back for her third bullet in an attempt to pad her SHRP Player of the Year lead.

Event 1: Day 1C Underway

$350 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 1: 25/50

Day 1C of Event 1 is underway and this flight looks to top both the initial fields from yesterday. 1A and 1B combined for 796 players with only 116 players making it through to Day 2.

The $350 buy-in Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em tournament has a $500,000 guaranteed prizepool and they were halfway there with four starting days left to play. Players can register or re-enter until the start of Level 7 and can surrender their stacks before that time if they wish.

They begin with 20,000 stacks with blinds at 25/50 and 30-minute levels.

Event 1: Flight B Chip Leaders

$350 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)

End of Level 15:  1,500/3,000/500 ante

Hany Ayoub - Flight B Chip Leader
Hany Ayoub – Flight B Chip Leader

On the last hand of the night, Michael Jagroo shipped a 55k double-up across the felt, dropping his stack to 269k.

If he had won that pot, he would have won the chip lead bonus.  Folding that hand would not have helped, however, because Hany Ayoub bagged 356,500 to claim the $500 bonus as the Flight B Chip Leader.

Zack Goodman just missed out on the bonus, bagging 354,500, just 2,000 fewer than Ayoub.

The chip counts are being recorded and once the list is available, it will be posted here in the blog
