On just the second hand after the dinner break, action folded to Tyler Stafman in the small blind and he moved all-in for his final 265k with Ac7c. Waxman called from the big blind with QcJh and Stafman hit the AdKc5s flop. Waxman was unable to hit his gutshot Broadway draw to give Stafman the double up to 550k.

Tyler Stafman began the hand with ~1,000,000 behind and opened to 80k from the cutoff. Tom Gleason responded with a shove for less than 600k from the small blind and Stafman called.

Gleason was racing with 2c2d against AcQs but jumped to a commanding lead on the Kc9h2s flop. Stafman was drawing dead after the 3s turn and Gleason doubled to 1,250,000.

Matt Waxman held the chiplead for most of the day but Yuan Yangshen moved ahead thanks to his multiple knockouts. The lead didn’t stand long as Waxman opened for 80k and Yangshen out of the big blind.

Waxman bet 100k after Yangshen checked the 7h3c2h flop and Yangshen called. It was another check-call by Yangshen on the 4c river for 200k followed by a check on the 9s river. Waxman bet a coll 360k to put Yangshen in the tank. He eventually called and Waxman tabled 8c7c, good enough for the win and jump back into the lead with 4,500,000.

The table was still sorting itself out with the elimination of John Pizano when Mark Morono decided to take his shot. He moved all-in with Ac3h and was behind Tyler Stafman’s AsQs until the 9s3s3c flop. Morono dodged the flush draw and boated on the river to double.

Those chips didn’t stay in front of him for very long as Yuan Yangshen kept his streak alive. He opened for 80k and Morono moved all-in, Yangshen called with 6c6d to flip against Ac9h. The virtual race didn’t last very long as Yangshen flopped the mortal nuts on the 6s6h5c board. Morono began the day in the middle of the pack and ended the same way in 6th place for $29,155. Yangshen moved into the chiplead with 3,700,000.

Tyler Stafman was still stacking his chips from the double when a three-way pot began to develop. Yuan Yangshen opened to 80k from early position before Stafman called from the button and John Pizano from the big blind.

Pizano shoved his last 555k on the Kh9c8c flop and Yangshen responded with an all-in behind. Stafman didn’t look happy as he open-mucked an open ended straight draw. Yangshen was ahead in the hand with KdQh against Pizano’s KcJs.

No miracles on the 6s turn or 3d river and John Pizano was eliminated in 7th place for $24,295 while Yangshen moved over 3,000,000.

Action folded to Darryll Fish and he made a standard shove from the small blind with Kc6c but found Tyler Stafman in the big blind holding AcKd. Fish was unable to hit the Jd5s3s flop put picked up a gutshot draw on the 7d turn.

Stafman faded seven outs and doubled to 1,250,000 while Fish dropped back to 750,000.

Kevin Spires began the day with the second smallest stack of the remaining 14 and did well to climb the payout ladder. Yuan Yangshen again took care of the heavy lifting when he opened to 60k and then called the shove by Spires.

Yangshen was ahead with ThTd against 7s7c and was in no danger of a beat when the board ran out KdJc4cKc5s. Spires watched as bigger stacks hit the rail but he was the next to the rail in 8th place for $19,375.
