$150 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 22: 8,000/16,000/2,000 Ante

The field dropped quickly after the money bubble, a usual process accelerated by the long bubble pushing the blinds. Four tables remain but that might change during the writing process.

Event 25: In the Money

$150 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 20: 5,000/10,000/1,000 Ante

After three weeks of covering tournaments, the writing staff became accustomed to brief money bubble action. That all changed in the last tournament of the series.

It took 14 hands, one at a time, to finally put the tournament in the money after more than 30 minutes. There were six all-ins called that only produced double ups until one unnamed short stack found Kings.

There were three live players after he shoved his micro-stack and they checked it down until the board read Ad8s7dThAh. Mike Rumie tossed out a single 25k chip to get folds from the other players and a schoolyard vulgarity from the all-in player.

He probably thought his KhKc was beaten by and Ace but it was Rumie’s Jh9c turned straight which put the field in the money.

Event 25: Missing Mike Berland

$150 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 18: 3,000/6,000/1,000 Ante

We have a curious case of a missing person deep in Event 25 without playing a single hand today. Mike Berland bagged up 217,500 at the end of Day 1B but apparently didn’t read the schedule close enough. A few of his competitors last night indicated he thought it was a one-day event.

Berland is getting blinded down as they close in on the bubble and off on a 15-minute color up break.
