Chris Hunichen
Chris Hunichen recently got his last 310,000 in preflop from the big blind. He was at risk against Mike Leah on the button, but had the best of it with against Leah’s . The runout was favorable for Hunichen, as he paired both his four and his ace to snag aces up and double to nearly 800,000.
Still with less than 10 big blinds to his name, Hunichen met his fate in fourth place a few hands later. Brandon Adams opened the cutoff to 180,000 and Hunichen jammed the last of his 640,000-chip stack. Adams called and was ahead going to the flop.

Tom Marchese
Tom Marchese moved all in for 1,280,000 under the gun, and Chris Hunichen re-shoved for 2,050,000 on the button. John Andress quickly folded his small blind, but the action froze on Mike Leah in the big.
Leah apparently had a real decision; his eyes opened wide when he checked his hole cards for the first time. He started talking through the spot quietly under his breath. “Flipping against one of you and dominating the other?” he asked himself. Eventually, he called all in for 1,720,000, putting himself at risk, as week.
He was right, too.
Marchese: Zazay: Leah:
“We could really use a jack,” Hunichen said.
The flop was a dream for Leah, though, giving him top pair and the nut flush draw. The on the turn left both opponents dead, and Hunichen received a bit of a needle with the that he’d asked for on the river.
Marchese was eliminated in fifth place, Hunichen’s stack took a big hit, and Leah nearly tripled up.
