Now that business is settled in Event 1, we can take a look at the opening flight of Event 3. Flight A is up to 146 entries so far, a year-to-year improvement, and down to the last six tables. They will play out Level 12, taking a short break, and return for three more levels before bagging up.
John Gorsuch was one of the late entrants because he was busy finishing in third at the Event 1 final table. Part of his payout was a seat in Event 3 and he’s still riding that bullet.

David Moreno is another player today, besides Jose Reyes, who might be a little tired this afternoon. He finished 28th of 1,045 entries in the big opening event of the series just missing out on the last three tables.

Jose Reyes can be excused if he’s a little tired this afternoon. The SHRP regular took home the first trophy of the Deep Stack Poker Series last night. Reyes took the top spot in the Event 2 Turbo after a heads-up deal.
Reyes can add that to the WSOP Circuit ring he won at our sister property in Coconut Creek earlier this year. He’s back in the poker room this afternoon trying to run up a stack in this tournament.

The first big multi-day tournament will wrap up later this afternoon but we have another one set to go at 11am.
Event 3 is a $560 buy-in Deeper Stack No Limit Hold’em tournament with a $150,000 Guarantee and two starting flights. The first kicks off this morning with the second one running tomorrow.
The starting stacks are 40,000 in this tournament and all Day 1 levels last 40 minutes. The levels increase to 60 minutes on Day 2 and bump to 90 later in the day. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Day 2 on Wednesday so there’s plenty of time to get in the game.
In addition to the prize money, there is also a $1,650 Event 4 seat added to 1st place.
Plenty of reason to play in this tournament and we expect another great crown in the poker room.
